Often refered to as bungee cords. Our highly elastic shock cords are made with a polyester braided cover to protect the latex rubber core. Polyester is very UV and abrasion resistant so it will help to provide a longer lasting product than cords with polypropylene or nylon covers. In general you can expect a shockcord to stretch to up to twice its original length at maximum tension. Rubber deteriorates over time but you should expect 5-10 years useful life from our bungee lines.
